• About VAT:
  
  This is for "non-European community" citizens only:
  One question that is put forward regularly is; "Why do you charge me VAT although I do not live in the European Community?" This is the answer to that question; "Because that can be cheaper for you as a customer!" And the reason is that if we do not charge you VAT, we are not allowed to send the package with CD's as "a normal letter" which is the cheapest postage rate! So if you order only a few CD's, it is cheaper for you to pay 'VAT + cheap rate postage' then 'no VAT and high postage + OB90' (= export form). If we don't charge VAT, we have to proof the parcel left the European Community (by adding the OB 90 form which is our proof of export). Staalplaat is a regular, tax paying business, so fake invoices can't be made for exports. If you order more CD's then just a few, it will be cheaper to pay the higher postage rate and no VAT because the VAT + cheap postage will be more then just high rate postage without VAT. Get it?? So it all depends on the amount of CD's you order!!!!
