Recorded November 1999 the musick on this CD represents separate projects by Kritchev (Dark Side of Dark Side) and Ban (Fudgolbets). Both incarnations are extremely varied from what has been available from this unpredictable outfit before. Ban's sampling machinery absorb distinctive sound sources which may consist of speaking word, tape micro scrabbling, disco music loops along with other ways of metaphorical reflection of what is present around us and inside us. For the first time Ban turns up melodic and nearly hipped. No crazy usage of ragged magnetic tapes, no oversampling noise rage. Just clear sound of dramatic visions and theatrical movement.
Kritchev's only 30-minutes-long track "Nerest" features the flow of eclectic noise modulations, which may seem similar to "easy" works by Merzbow. Light whirr of giant iron insect unwinds to aerobatics flies over the slow river of unsound water. Kritchev made a record of dynamic sound that has animate and mechanik nature at the same time. Both parts of this album ignore each other's inequality and move alongside over the shore of landless sea of experimental musick.
