deep drones, some odd hissings, weird tonalities and atonalities as the sounds of what could be small motorized objects (or air conditioning units, fans?) begin humming along, warbling a bit here and there on the edge of falling apart. eventually washes of static slowly battle one another for audio dominance and other sound patterns slowly appear and disappear, small bits of previous sounds crop up now and again... then an almost surprising appearance of digital noise as the piece comes to a draw; not a blistering, karkowski-esque assault, but something paced and controlled--like the rest of the track--with what I consider Joe's signature, meticulous, composition skills... in a lot of ways it reminds me of the laporte 3" on metamkine, the recording of the ice-refreezing unit... in a 3" jewel case, edition of 500 hand numbered copies." - Blake Edwards
