Serbia may be known for it's brass bands, but that's not all! Look out for a new & unique musical style that's coming up now, known as "The Psychedelic Folk Ensemble." This Belgrade-based band, started in the '90s, was initially influenced by such artists as Joy Division, New Order, Cocteau Twins, Minutemen, and R.E.M.. But after releasing one album, they switched their loud-rock style to acoustic, and incorporating traditonal melodies, came up with a new formula. With cool guitars & bass, beautiful string melodies and fresh female vocals... "Balkan melodies" meet "modern arrangements", to create some refreshingly enjoyable guitar pop music. Like a breeze coming through a window, and perfect for a picnic on a warm sunny day... The name of the band is Cinc!!
