Title Description:
In their sixth album (laton) with its programmatic title "Forbidden Beat" Moscow post-industrial underground heroes F.R.U.I.T.S. (Alexei Borisov/ Pavel Jagun) continue the long Russian tradition of constructivist generation of sound. Purged sounds, some of them of such low frequency that they are scarcely audible, beats that are adequately enriched with distortions, strange voices floating by like clouds. There is also plenty of abstruse humour, where not as word samples, then in a number of the arrangements. The CD is a compilation of live tracks, various studio takes made throughout Europe, and a historic "recording" from the Square of Youth in Moscow, 1996. Austrian artist Franz Graf designed the cover.
