Title Description:
It«s about time, it«s about time É is what we have not seldomly heard lately. Well, time for what? After his highly acclaimed EP Das ist der Sommer which was featuring PeterLicht on vox, Jean-Michel«s longawaited third album will finally be among us in a heartbeat. This forthcoming little pearls« title is The Audience Is Missing and hey, due to his last album New Medium Softpack dating back to 2001 this title is more than self-explanatory Ð you may just miss the audience at times for such a reason.

This newly born music which would later be given the name Frickelbumms has managed to catch our
attention Ð the ones behind the humble German-Japanese indie label onpa))))) wich has recently moved its premises to Berlin Ð and we could not resist signing this unique artist for releasing some 12 maxi singles working our way up to this album. The man started off releasing his tunes through a sweet little colognian imprint called Eleganz. The result were a lot of editor«s hearts being touched and music-nerds suffering from abnormally high heart rates. Six years have passed very quickly with a remix for Bjšrk (as featured on the b-side of the 12 pre-album single RTFM) in between his sound design for Viva and Vivaplus, and, of course, music for telephone holding patterns, ringtones, audio-logos and so on É go figure! At some point though, Jean-Michel was quite happy to leave this kind of work behind himself going back to some self-induced musical creativity.

Even though we are primarily releasing only the softer non-club tunes on CD, some of the tracks on this album are quite the subtle rocking plug-in terror you might expect us to put on wax. It is just a fact that this album has some kind of statement you just cannot escape. To make it short, this is a fine selection of electronica giving the feeling as though the featured live-instruments could only be meant as appetizers to the upcoming gigs and worlddominationlive- tour! With bass and guitars, a classic drum-set and electronics this will let things rock even more!
