Title Description:
This Staalplaat showcase compilation was released on the occassion of the Mind The Gap festival, taking place in Amsterdam. Part of the edition is given away with belgium magazine Gonzo Circus (co-organiser of the festival). This is trhe second compilation Staalplaat did with this magazine (the first one being 'Le Sacre Du Printemps).

To be found on this budget sampler are many Staalplaat bands, such as: The Hafler Trio, O Yuki Conjugate, Nocturnal Emissions, Rapoon, zoviet*france, Horizon 222 (an zoviet*frfance off-shoot), Beequeen, Sielwolf, Exquisite Corpse, Revoltionairy Dub warriors and Raksha Macham. Musicwise this compilation offers a wide array of deep ambient, ambient dance and experimental/industrial ambient.

The cover (an extensive fold-out with lots of liner notes regarding each band) contains lino-cuts by Erik Kriek, a comic artists from Amsterdam, in his dry cynical/humoristic style.
