Title Description: Two masters of 'industrial' (for the sake of not having a more apprpiate word at hand) music team up for a powerful work. Achim Wollscheid (formerly working as SBOTHI and running Selektion Akustik and Optik) is a visual artist and has only an interest in music, if it deals with space. In some of his visual installations he used clappers, which are used to make resonant frequencies audible of objects (like teacups, chairs etc.). The recordings Achim made were treated by Asmus Tietchens. Asmus composes musique concrete since 1965 and produced his first record in 1980. Since he made many LP's and CD's, some of which are collaborations with like minded composers, such as Arcane Device, PBK, Vidna Obmana and Terry Burrows. Many of Asmus' compositions ause a single sound source, such as dripping water, voices, piano etc. His main instrument is the studio, in which he treats the sounds beyond recognition. Hauntingly beautiful and rich textures produced by such simple means.
On this CD you will find three compositions by Asmus Tietchens using Achim Wollscheid's sounds. There are however also three hidden tracks with the original soundmaterial. The first one you can only hear when you rewind the CD from the start, the other 2 are between track 1 and 2 and 2 and 3. When this CD is played in shuffle mode, the hidden tracks won't be played.
The package is a carton sleeve, non standard to the music industry. Design is by Selektion Optik.
